House Rules

1. Membership and Guests

The Post is for members in good standing with current membership card, their signed-in guests, and approved visitors. All guests must be signed in and remain with the sponsoring member at all times. If the sponsoring member leaves, the guest must also leave unless another member assumes responsibility. Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests. Membership cards or identification must be presented upon request. Any guest living in the Longmont trade area who is eligible to become a member to our Post will be allowed only (3) visits annually to our Post. Members sponsoring guests will ascertain said eligibility. All guests, including members from other Posts will be asked to sign the guest book.

2. Alcohol and Beverages

All alcohol must be purchased from the Post bar. No outside alcohol or personal drink containers are allowed. Bartenders may refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated, disruptive, or acting disorderly.

3. Food

Potlucks are welcome for Bronco games. Food must be set up on tables, not on the lounge countertop. All serving and cleanup are the responsibility of those bringing food, and all items must be removed at the end of the event. Food service from Mama Mead’s Pizzeria is available during their regular hours (closed Mondays). The lounge offers items such as pizza, hot dogs, chips, candy and brats for sale to members and guests.

4. Behavior and Conduct

Respectful behavior is required at all times. Any member or guest who causes problems, argues, or disrupts others will be asked to leave immediately.

Marijuana is not permitted anywhere on Post property in accordance with Colorado liquor laws and the Secretary of State’s gaming regulations. Weapons of any kind are also prohibited on Post property.

Bartenders and staff have full authority to refuse service or ask anyone to leave the premises. Members who are refused service or admittance must accept that action as being in the best interest of both the member and the Post.

Loud, boisterous, or obscene language, as well as any behavior that disturbs or antagonizes another member, will not be tolerated.

Personal conflicts, romantic disputes, harassment, or continued contact that spills into the Post or disrupts the lounge environment are strictly prohibited. This includes using Post resources, member information, or prior relationships to harass, intimidate, gossip about, or antagonize another member or guest. Any behavior that brings outside drama into the Post, whether by text, phone calls, or in-person comments while on Post property, will be treated as a violation of these House Rules and may result in suspension of privileges.

No member or guest may reprimand any employee or volunteer. Concerns about an employee’s performance, attention to duties, or courtesy should be submitted in writing to the Board of Trustees.

The employee in charge has full authority to enforce all House Rules while on duty, including the right to eject anyone for misconduct or violation of Post rules.

Solicitation or circulation of petitions on Post property is not allowed. Only approved notices related to official Post activities may be posted on the premises.

Extension of credit or lending of funds is strictly prohibited. No checks will be cashed, and no open tabs may be left overnight. A 20% gratuity will be applied when closing any credit card transaction.

5. Children and Minors

Minors must be under the supervision of an adult member at all times. Anyone under 21 must leave the premises by 9:00 p.m. No one under 21 may sit at the bar. (Post policy; Colorado law prohibits service to anyone under 21).
